Arjun Tendulkar gets engaged to Ravi Ghai’s granddaughter

Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, is engaged to Saaniya Chandok, granddaughter of renowned Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai.

According to reports, Saaniya Chandok, the granddaughter of well-known Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai, and Arjun Tendulkar, the 25-year-old son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, are engaged. Only close friends and family from both sides were present at the private engagement.

The Ghai family is well-known in Mumbai's business community, especially in the food and hospitality industries. They own the well-known ice cream company Brooklyn Creamery as well as the InterContinental hotel. As an entrepreneur, Saaniya Chandok founded Paws, a premium pet salon and spa in Mumbai. She is known for maintaining a low public profile.

 

Arjun Tendulkar is a left-arm fast-bowling all-rounder who plays for the Goa cricket team in domestic competitions. He also has experience in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with the Mumbai Indians. He made his T20 debut with Mumbai during the 2020–21 season, which marked the beginning of his domestic career. Later, for the 2022–2023 season, he relocated to Goa, where he made his List A and first-class debuts.

In his first-class career, Arjun has played 17 matches, scoring 532 runs, which includes one century and two fifties. With the ball, he has taken 37 wickets, including one five-wicket haul and two four-wicket hauls. In List A cricket for Goa, he has played 17 matches, scoring 76 runs in nine innings. 

His IPL career with the Mumbai Indians has seen him play five matches, where he has claimed three wickets at an average of 38.00 and an economy rate of 9.36, with his best bowling figures being 1/9. His opportunities with the bat in the IPL have been limited to nine balls, from which he has scored 13 runs, with a top score of 13.

As of now, neither the Tendulkar nor the Ghai family has released an official statement regarding the engagement.
